Your journey starts with a Quad Bike Expedition at Domaine de l’Etoile between the mountain valleys of the South-East. Enjoy a 2-hours quad bike journey while your kids are busy playing interesting games in the kid’s corner or enjoying nice time with the poneys. Ride between our sugarcane plantations, enjoy the mountain views, the surrounding rivers, fresh water lakes and wild spots in the natural habitat of our endemic species and plants. After your valley escapade, you will choose to either try our typical island recipes or a menu à la carte at the Domaine de l’Etoile Restaurant. Our next stop will be at La Vanille Crocodile Park for you to enjoy some wildlife in a naturally reconstructed flora and fauna! Spend time with Nile Crocodiles, Alligators, two-centuries old Giant Mauritian Tortoises with maximum safety. Other species include our Mauritian mongoose, bats, geckos, Lemuria from Madagascar, natural freshwater ponds with local fishes and prawns and many others which you may wish to feed. Do not forget to visit the tortoises’ nursery, the fossils’ museum and the park’s insectarium, which is one of the most fascinating in the world, with a rare collection of butterflies and other brightly-colored insects (about 23 000 species). You may find a kid’s corner at the park with interaction with domestic animals.It is popular to try some crocodile dishes at the park’s restaurant and buy some accessories made from crocodile skin. We are now heading to most loved old ship models factory. There you will watch the art of miniaturization mastered by the experienced craftsmen in producing replicas of ships of the Mauritian colonisation period and those encountered in the Spice and Silk Routes. You will enjoy a nice presentation by the guide about the production process. Only the finest materials are used for the production of our ship models.
